The G.I.F.T. name is derived from the content of the web site and booklets. General Information, Facts and Tables. The logo is designed to represent a key to associate with the phrase "The key to knowledge". Some of the data and software were originally released under the banner "Cleo Software", which has now been incorporated in the G.I.F.T. branding.
 

The majority of the programming / web design / booklets have been created by Mark Broadhurst, however there are many others who have assisted with testing, proof reading and providing ideas and general direction for the content.

To provide and maintain free educational resources to all Australian residents via an Internet web site which contains no content or hyperlinks to other sites whose content would not be classified as having a "G" (General) rating.

To provide and maintain low price educational resources in the form of hardcopy booklets / computer software, which can be distributed by charitable organisations for fund raising purposes.

The contact details of any individual(s) or organisation(s) dealing with G.I.F.T. will never be released to any third party, and will never be used for marketing unless specifically agreed to by the individual or organisation.
